The West Side Tennis Club

FOREST HILLS, NY

More Than Tennis. More Than A Club.

For over 130 years, The West Side Tennis Club has given New Yorkers something rare: 14 acres of green space where families grow together, beginners discover confidence, avid players find connection, and neighbors become lifelong friends.

Everything you need lives in one welcoming place.

Play at Your Own Level

Many of our active members started as complete beginners. Others came looking for consistent games at a skilled level. Everyone joins to stay active and meet people who become real friends, not just hitting partners.

Whether you're trying a racquet sport for the first time, or your family wants to explore together, you'll find your community here.

Make it a Daylong Experience

Start by the pool, surrounded by shade and space for kids to run safely. Then join a class on our grass courts, grab lunch on the terrace, or simply read a book without city noise.

Our wellness programming includes weekly yoga classes, seasonal massage and mimosa days, and year-long social events.

Watch Premiere Entertainment

Our 14,000-seat stadium once hosted the U.S. Open and historic performances by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Dylan. Today, it brings over 30 concerts annually right to your neighborhood—from classic rock legends to contemporary artists.

Members get priority access, exclusive seating, and the rare pleasure of finishing a tennis match, swimming with the kids, then taking in a world-class show without ever leaving the club.

Eat Well, Stay Longer

Our kitchen sources from local farms and maintains an herb garden picked daily. The kids menu includes food they'll enjoy. The terrace views of our grounds remind you why you joined in the first place.

This is the spot to meet friends after your match, where your family lingers over weekend brunch, and where evenings feel exactly right.

Hear From Our Members:

I came and played at an event and then decided that I loved it and decided to join on the spot. Finding the club was truly a blessing.

–Marnie Perez Ochoa

It's a social club as much as a tennis club. People come just to hang out, just to see their friends. It's a very close-knit culture.

–Rich Collins

My colleagues say ‘I've never seen anyone so happy after retirement.’ What is making me happy is this little community that I have joined. It has been a blessing for me.
